Here are a few things I am particularly interested in:
- Agave 'Blue Ember', 'Mateo', variegated parryi v. truncata; nice clones of Agave wocomahi, sebastiana, guadalajarana, albopilosa, parryi v. neomexicana
- Yucca 'nana' and Yucca desmettiana
- bulbs of all kinds, especially winter growers but I'm not real picky. Lachanalia, Freesia, Scilla, Bulbine, Boophone, etc.
- Deuterocohnia of any kind, and any Dyckia/Hechtia that don't frantically offset
- swapping of Adenium cuttings; I have 'Black Ruby' and 'Peppermint'
- a bunch of aloes, I know many are a long shot: betsileensis, dinteri, dorothae, excelsa, framesii, gerstneri, immaculata, lineata v. muirii, mawii, medishiana, namibensis, peckii, pratensis, pseudorubroviolacea, rubroviolacea, versicolor, viridiflora

I have the Bulbine fruticosa that blooms orange all summer and Orostachys japonica that grows well in rock crevices if you're interested. Have plenty of the dark green ersatz Agave hookeri (attached) if that interests you. Would like a salmiana x lophantha hybrid if you still have one.

I've still got some salmiana x lophantha, but the ones with good roots are gone. I'll get some photos of the remaining plants...decent-size offsets, but they didn't separate nicely from mama. I know almost nothing about A. hookeri, except that it seems to color up nicely Is it hardy in NC?

Also - found Jeremy Spath's photos of the A. salmiana from SDBG. This is the plant I am offering above. There is some commentary on the XW thread here but who knows how long that site will last.

This is the plant that was discussed on the other website. If you google "Agave hookeri" you get some of my pics but it has not been definitively decided that it's hookeri. One of the doubts is that it is hardy here in 8a very humid.

Here is mine, still in a 1-gal container, but ready for a move to larger digs. It has no aversion to cold, but is sun-sensitive and appears to go semi-dormant in summer here, like A. gentryi and A. montana.

I have no idea what it is, I have never seen its like before. It is definitely different. The plant has my interest, but shady spots are at a premium here. We'll see what opens up.

Edit: I just moved it into a 2-gal container, that should give it a nice kick in the pants for the next few weeks.

Yep, I responded to your PM, I'll throw it in the box and hopefully get it out this afternoon.

I pulled 4 pups from the nickelsiae on Saturday - one is on it's way to Agave Killer already, but I have 3 more....

Hi Troy - I currently don't have any of either. All the nickelsiae pups were given away and, and I tossed most of the chrysoglossa hybrid. I'm sure the hybrid will make more so I'll keep that in mind.

I may have a spare nickelsiae pup. I will need to check to be sure. Because of the 'winter' I have crowded most of my potted plants together so it was easier to shield them from the rain and I am pretty sure I still have 2 nickelsiae pups in about gallon sized pots among them, one already has a future home, but if my memory is indeed correct the 2nd one would be available.

I will try and snap a picture if I get home from work in time for it to still be light enough to do so.

I was mistaken, turns out I have 3 nickelsiae pups, well one is not quite a pup anymore in a 3 gallon pot - had forgotten about that one.

They are not the prettiest right now and for me they are not really easy plants in pots (most of the much smaller pups I got of the two big plants I got not so long ago did not make it through last winter - too wet too long while it was close to freezing hence the improved rain shelter this year), but the prospective parents (I forget which of the two A. nickelsiae I have the pups came from) are doing great for me in the ground:

One of them is in the center of the picture, the other one the left side. The one in the center is working on a set of pups on long runners, there is a small nickelsiae pup coming up right in the middle between it and the A. chrysantha behind it.
Interestingly, with about the same sun exposure the two nickelsiae have very different postures, whereas the center one has a much more spread open habit, the other one has much more closed up compact form. For some reason this is more apparent in the summer compared to now.

FYI other Agaves visible in the picture: A. guadalajarana, victoriae reginae, macroacantha, proto-americana, salmiana, xylonacantha, felgeri, and sobria ssp. frailensis. Mostly invisible Agaves in the picture: xarizonica, parryi truncata, vivipara marginata, and durangensis. There is also a tiny speck of leaf of an Agave marmorata leaf visible... Interestingly 2 years ago this space was completely taken up by a giant Agave weberi and its pups... only things there up to the bushy Palo Verde (remnants of an actual tree, that I am not letting grow back beyond what it currently is) beside the weberi were the clump of grass and clump of echinocereus engelmannii. Talk about eating up space... you should be able to deduct where south is from the strategic placement of some of the rocks...

Pretty well! The Agave salmiana-ferox '666' is very happy as is the Matt Maggio Mangave. Also pachycentra 'Flying Saucer' & xylonacantha 'Superclone' are zooming along. Thank you again!
