Please see my picture. Is this inkblot or pineapple express mangave? Will it die after blooming? If so, how long does it take for pups to appear? Do I keep watering after it dies? How long does it take to bloom?
Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Mangave question
It will die but slowly, producing offsets from around it’s stem and off it’s flower stalk. You don’t need to do anything more for it, it’ll carry on slowly withering away and after the flower has finished it’ll produce the next generation for a good long while. This has been my experience with 'Macha Mocha'. I kept one in it’s pot for 3 years after it had finished flowering and removed the offsets as space in the garden became available.

Re: Mangave question
Mangaves don't die after they flower, they continue on. Yours looks like inkblot, at least much more so than pineapple express. There are several varieties similar to yours actually.
The flower stalks get really tall and last for months in my experience. I grow many cultivars and find them interesting.
