I like paper spine cactus. The one I had was doing really good, added 2 segments this year and then got attacked by a bunch cochineal scale or red spider mites. Both new segments fell off. Bought this off Etsy and what I received was anything but. Can't complain about the quanity but no where close to what the seller has pictured on the post.

I've had a few surprises like that. Never pleasant. To look at the bright side, I think this species grows quickly and easily (sez Arizona's agave killerFairview wrote: ↑Fri Sep 26, 2025 5:16 pm I like paper spine cactus. It looks like it was different segments grouped together in the same container, then separated . I wouldn’t worry, they are hardy to about 15°F. Stick them in a container and they will take off.
