Greetings and salutations!! I only recently found this site in my search of a remedy for my slightly ailing swordfish aloe plant. I'm always down for good conversation so I figured it wouldn't hurt to join in! I used to have a garden with my mother when I was younger. After she passed away when I was 17, I lost total interest. I did have an aloe vera plant off and on for awhile but when my little sisters would trail behind me and 'help me' water it, they would always die. It took me years to figure out that 3 of my little sisters were watering it also.
Well about two years ago one of my little sisters started getting into plants(mostly tropicals) she brought me a zebra haworthia and an aloe vera hybrid. It was on after that!! I had found my love of plants again. I try to read, at least a little about my succulents and cacti every morning over coffee to better educate myself in horticulture. I very much want my grand kids to have a love for plants and animals as I do. And it would seem the best way to do so would be to lead by example!! Hopefully, one day I can have the collection similar to the one my mother and I had so many years ago. I will do my best to pass on the love and respect I have for plants to my children and my grandchildren!! The world needs to be a bit more green... So I'm trying to pass the idea on to the next generation. Stay safe, stay healthy and stay crafty!! Happy planting everyone!!
