Common Name for Eriophyid Mite?

Hello Fellow Agave Lovers-

Does anyone know the common name for the eriophyid mite that leaves a stain and lesions on the agaves?

Uh... Agave mite - I think that is pretty much it. It is a mite that is specific to Agaves.

I thought it was agave mite but wasn’t sure. Came across gall, rust and something else when I looked up eriophyid.

There's some near 2000 species of eriophyid mite, but the consensus is that each species specializes in a particular host. So, hence "agave mite, aloe mite, etc." as far as "common names". I'm not 100% sure that an aloe mite can't infect an agave, say in a greenhouse situation, based on my own experience - but in general, I'd say the consensus is correct.
