Hi I have had a euphorbia waringiae agaveville for about 2 years it was doing well in a NE window with good light all day inside a city apartment. We moved much further north to a zone 4 area now with a north facing window in a much colder room. It did fine for several months and then declined leaves falling off and slowly loosing all th leaves.
I waited weeks to water then repotted in fresh spoil it has continued to decline all branches are now dying bulb is shrinking.
I now moved move it around a room to get all the south light during the day
Suggestions help advice please
Thanks

Moving to Euphorbia section.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

This is a cold sensitive species so you need to find somewhere warmer and brighter by the sound of it.

Pictures of what the plant looks like in its current condition would help.

Re: New member needing help
Moving the plant to a colder location, especially if placed near a window in zone 4 during winter likely caused it to go into dormancy. It sounds like you reduced the water once you saw the leaves dropping but was it soon enough to prevent root rot? Could there have been damage to roots during the move that caused issues with the lower temperatures and watering?
You mention that the caudex is shrinking, is it soft? If so, you might have root rot that is spreading up the caudex.

Re: New member needing help
Thanks everyone at this point sadly I thinks it’s dead.
The ball has completely shriveled and dried out, unless anyone has further thoughts. Could it just have gone dormant? It’s lost about 20% of its volume.
I’d love a new one can anyone suggest a reputable and reliable grower?
Thanks
