What’s wrong with my Agave?

I water it every 2 weeks and don’t know what’s wrong with it. Please help!

First - looks like it's planted way too deep, and the leaves are starting to rot where they are under the soil. I'd probably take it out of the pot, shake all the dirt off the roots, and leave it for a couple weeks in a shady spot, then replant it in a larger pot w/ appropriate soil mix.

Where are you located, what kind of climate? That will influence what kind of soil mix would be good.
