There's a famous story on that plant,the then brand new curator and its being hidden under shrubs and forgotten for 60 years. Look it up!
My advice on these? Everything eats them. ALL Rodents devour the caudex, and slugs and snails love the tender vines. Since they are very expensive- keep that in mind.
