This is another Agave which leaves me confused. Each time I see a labelled plant, it appears to tbe different from the last one. Jkw

A. guadalajarana seems to have confused Gentry as well, who placed it in the Parryanae group, rather than the Heimiflorae group, which is probably a better fit.

These guadalajaranas seem to be very variable, some are open and some have tight rosettes. Maybe an environmental thing? I had about a dozen grown from seed, some had nice margins, some had tiny margins. Only a few left now. I wish I would have kept more of them.

Not sure that all the photos here concern A. guadalajarana, posts 9 & 11 for example.

This is the RSN clone, very nice and seriously outgrowing their 3-gallon digs:

Would take one home if I had the room, but alas, no dice. That and I'm pretty sure I'd impale myself trying to pick it up.

I’ve had this Agave guadalajarana in a pot for about 4 years, but now I’m thinking of “liberating” it to the ground. How large might it become? (It’s currently about 18” across.)
