Our overnight low Saturday night ended up being 85 degrees. Ten degrees cooler than that would be considered an exceptionally high overnight minimum low. I'm not sure if that has ever happened before in San Diego! I certainly don't remember anything over about 76 in the last forty years. If I didn't have a really high quality maximum-minimum thermometer I would literally guffaw if someone outside of Borrego Springs told me that was the case.
We had to have the air conditioning on all night in order to sleep. With the high humidity levels we have been having, it has been nearly impossible to work outside. You start sweating nearly immediately, even at dawn!
The Monger
Today might be the hottest day EVER recorded in Hayward.

85!.Even here the lows continue to be stupendous compared to historical..for the fourth morning in a row. In the 1970's Hayward was a 9b. The average low was 55f this time of year. Now,its 58f (and 10a) historically. That was blown away by nearly 20f. The official lows from hayx must have been 2 or 3 cooler then in the city where people actually live.Agavemonger wrote:Our overnight low Saturday night ended up being 85 degrees. First time I've seen this banana burn from heat. Its the highland banana Ensente maurleii. It hated 108f. My green edible banana did fine..looks the better from the heat.
