Prosopis Glandulosa(Honey Mesquite) in Palo Duro Canyon

Palo Duro Canyon is located near Amarillo, Texas. I took these pictures in 2006, probably the most dominant plant in the landscape is Honey Mesquite. It contrasts well against the colors of the canyon.

These last 2 photos were posted by someone else but give great perspective of the Canyon from outside the State Park on State Road 207. Only a small portion of the 120 miles of Canyon are within the State Park boundaries.
