No, I grew it from hybrid seed.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

Progress on mine blooming - pollen is maturing but I have nothing else going right now...

Not that I could tell. It hasn't attracted much in the way of bugs or birds either...I tried to self pollinate it, but am not real hopeful. I expect it will offset after the flower is done, since 'Bloodspot' does so prolifically.

I saw a new one called Mangave ‘Tequila Fire’ at Home Depot tonight. It was dark so I “borrowed” this picture from Facebook.

Got a few seed from the above plant, and 3 or 4 more pods yet to mature. I'll end up with maybe 150 seeds...not bad!
