Ever since the artic blast of '21 this palm has been freezing back and 8 have been cutting out the rotted trunk down to sound. This winter I think it has had all it can take. At least I want get rid of the remaining stump. It's just downright ugly.
Not interested in digging it out, just getting rid of the above ground stump. I've tried the chainsaw but the fibers jam the geardrive in about 5 minutes.

It would probably dig up easier than you would think, especially after rain. They have small shallow roots, it’s not a tree.
