Is this an effective method if I put a touch of water soluble fertilizer in the mix?
Mckinney, Texas. 30 Miles North of Dallas. What I'm trying to grow: A ovatifolia: whales tongue, frosty blue, vanzie, sharkskin, parrasana, montana, parryi JC Raulston, Bellville, Bluebell Giant, havardiana, polianthiflora, parviflora, havardiana x neomexicana

Here is a recent post from abborean: Agave Snout Weevil Treatment

I'd probably leave the fertilizer out of it.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

The fertilizer would aid the translocation of the Imidacloprid throughout the plants. Not even half strength. I found literature that it could take 60 days to move through the plant from soil apps.
