Is it a natural cristate?

Post by RCDS66 »

These Pachycereus pringlei seedlings sprouted in first / second week of Sep 25. Now, as the seedling are 0.5 to 1 inch tall, I think that one of the seedlings has started developing into a cristate right from the start.

Am I right in my understanding or it is just a normal seedling with a broader base?
Experts, please advise.

Kinda looks like it. I doubt it will survive for too long. Interesting.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

The cristate is surviving so far and is growing well. Actually another seedling has started forming a cristate so there are two now. Fascinating.
